Fred Laderman (born February 19, 1927; died August 3, 2021), credited as Fred Ladd, was a writer who wrote the episode "It Lives! It Grows! It Destroys!" for The Incredible Hulk.
Biography[]
He is best remembered for being one of the first to help bring Japanese animation to North America. He often "Westernized" the animation for Western audiences.
As a director, his works include The Big Fight: Jack Sharkey vs. Primo Carnera, The Space Explorers, The Underseas Explorers, and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
As a producer, his works include The Space Explorers, The Big World of Little Adam, Pinocchio in Outer Space, Pippi in the South Seas, Pippi on the Run, Journey Back to Oz, and The New Adventures of Gigantor.
As a writer, his works include The Space Explorers, The Underseas Explorers, Astro Boy, Gigantor, Kimba the White Lion, Pinocchio in Outer Space, Pippi in the South Seas, Pippi on the Run, Journey Back to Oz, Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle, The Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam!, Hero High!, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, MASK, and Ghostbusters.
He served as a creative consultant on Sailor Moon.
Ladd passed away on August 3rd, 2021 at the age of ninety-four. No cause of death was given.[1]
