John F. Beard (born 1948) is an actor who played a news anchor on Spider-Man.
Biography[]
Beard served in the Navy. He later worked as a news anchor. He worked at WIVB in Buffalo before working at WITN and WXII in North Carolina. While working at KNBC in Los Angeles, a man with a gun held the newsroom hostage until they read his manifesto. When they did, the man let go of his weapon and Beard grabbed it. He later worked at KTTV in Los Angeles and WGRZ in Buffalo.
He has played news anchors in works like The Siege, Home Room, The Bernie Mac Show, 24, and Arrested Development.
