Comic Book Resources ranked this at number eleven in their top fifteen episodes of the series. They noted that while the film X-Men: The Last Stand also handled the mutant cure subject, this episode did it more effectively and with more nuance. They loved the introduction of Apocalypse, the series' main bad guy, teasing future Apocalypse episodes. [1]
