Reaction

Comic Book Resources ranked The Phoenix Saga collectively as number three on their top fifteen episodes of the series. They noted that it was a loving homage to the Chris Claremont story, a grand space opera with stunning visuals while the transformation of Jean was a great portrayal. They noted the series commitment to faithfulness as it had Jean getting the incredible power using it for good first. They cited the great dramatic emotion as why this was the best adaptation of Phoenix. [1]
