Comic Book Resources ranked this episode and its predecessor as number eight in their ranking of the top fifteen episodes of the series. They liked that the episode explored Professor X and Magneto's friendship. They also liked how the series wrapped up the season long story as well as showing how Mister Sinister as one of the team's best villains. They thought it was a great way to have multiple storylines that intersect in a coherent way. [1]
