The episode begins with Bruce Banner arriving in Las Vegas. He is noticed by a police officer and chased by General Ross's Hulk Busters. He escapes and meets up with Carl "Crusher" Ceel. When confronted, Creel revels to Banner that he knows who he is and using his powsers he reveals himself as the Absorbing Man. This is followed by Banner "hulking out" and getting into a fight with the Absorbing Man. Ross finds the Hulk and Creel and is told to to stand down by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Black Widow and Hawkeye. Ross disobeyes their orders and the Hulk is forced to save the agents escort. He is then taken down by one of Hawkeye's taser arrows. He is brought to the Cube and questioned by his old colleague Leonard Sampson. When Sampson leaves Hawkeye ashes Banner why the Hulk save the aircraft. Banner respond by saying that the Hulk isn't the monster and S.H.I.E.L.D. wants to not cure the Gamma-inmates, but use them as weapons. As he leaves Banner, Barton notices Natasha sneaking around. After hacking into her S.H.I.E.L.D. files he finds she is working for HYDRA and stole a vial of Hulk blood. He tries to stop her but she frames him for the crime, stating afterwards "Hail Hydra".
