Egghead causes Pym Particles to work against Ant-Man. The Avengers must stop the villain before Pym shrinks into oblivion.

The Avengers attend a parade where the balloons begin attacking the citizens. When the Avengers face the balloons, a parade clown shoots some bubbles that make Ant-Man lose control of his size and cause property damage. While the others defeat the balloons (that turn out to be robots), Hank reaches the Avengers Mansion and faints close to Jarvis.
A tent is raised around the gigantic unconscious Ant-Man. Egghead talks in television saying that Hank's experiments with Pym particles were always dangerous. After hearing Egghead's interview, the other Avengers explain to Falcon that Pym particles are what Hank and Jan use to change size, while Jan also adds that she and Hank know Egghead and don't trust him. Egghead then arrives with a bunch of reporters and, despite Wasp's protests, applies a cure that wakes Hank up shrinks him back to his normal size.
However, after Egghead and the reporters leave, Ant-Man begins shrinking further without control. While Wasp and Vision try to find a way to stop him from shrinking out of existence, the other Avengers investigate the original incident and find out the clown's participation, also finding out that the clown was Egghead in disguise. Hank, still shrinking, suggests to analyze both the bubbles and Egghead's "cure" to create an antidote.
Wasp and Vision create the antidote, but Hank is too small to give it to him, so Jan risks herself, shrinking to the same sub-atomic size to reach Hank and give it to him. Meanwhile, the other Avengers go to Egghead's mansion and are attacked by the mansion security systems, like armed statues. Egghead uses a helicopter to escape.
Egghead reaches the tent where Wasp and Vision say that Hank died. Egghead gloats about the success of his plan, but then Ant-Man grows to normal size and douses Egghead with Pym particles, which only have limited effect as Egghead doesn't have Pym particles in his body as Hank and Jan, but is shrunk down for enough to allow Hawkeye to cage him inside a jar. It's also revealed that Egghead's gloating was recorded.
Egghead's recorded gloating is taken as a confession and he is arrested. The Avengers are offered to take part in the next year parade, but they want something calmer to do the next thanksgiving.
