- Kanye West running up to M.O.D.O.K. and telling him that Blob is the greatest supervillain of all time is a reference to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards which aired eight days before this episode premiered. During the MTV Music Video Awards Kanye West went on stage while Taylor Swift was receiving her award for "Best Female Music Video" and told the audience that Beyoncé had one of the best music videos of all time. This short promo for Marvel Super Heroes: What The--?! was quickly put into production following the Kanye West incident.
