The United States thaws out Omega Red to find a sunken submarine. But he has his own plans for the ship and the two X-Men who previously captured him.
Story[]
In Russia, American scientists are digging Omega Red out of the frozen state he was put into back in Red Dawn. Restrained, Omega Red is told that the American Government want his help in retrieving a sunken unstable nuclear submarine that is near the coast of Hawaii. In return, Omega Red will be turned into a human again by the American's scientific equipment. Omega agrees but he demands that Wolverine and Storm go along with him, to the sub. The two X-Men are summoned and agree to participate on the mission.
On the way to the submarine, Wolverine and Omega manage to keep their cool and not break into a fight and the confined spaces of the underwater vessel aggravates Storm's claustrophobia but she does not break into panic. Once aboard the sunken nuclear sub, Omega turns on the X-Men and plans to fire the nuclear missiles at various cities throughout the world. However, the X-Men cannot fight the villain as the sub is incredibly toxic and even a small tear in their suits would leak in radiation and kill them. Capturing both mutants, Omega does not realise the X-Men have back up flying towards them. Beast and Rogue, in the blackbird, start dropping depth charges to keep the sub from reaching launch depth.
Omega informs the X-Men that he could arm the missiles before they reach the targets, meaning that they would explode over Hawaii. Omega launches the missiles but Beast blows them up with a laser from the Blackbird. After the missiles are dealt with, Omega threatens to launch another set but Rogue flies down to the sub and fights the villain, knocking him out. Wolverine and Storm are rescued and Omega is left down in the sub with a bunch of missiles that he cannot launch.
