Earl Boen (born August 8, 1941; died January 5, 2023) was an actor who played Magneto on "Pryde of the X-Men" and Beyonder and Red Skull on Spider-Man.

On "Pryde of the X-Men" he was credited as Earl Bowen. He is the first to voice Beyonder outside the comics.

Biography[]

He is most known as psychiatrist Dr. Peter Silberman in The Terminator franchise, appearing in The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines as well as the theme part attraction T2 3-D: Battle Across Time. He appeared alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, Paul Winfield, Lance Henriksen, and Robert Patrick. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines was his last live-action appearance, only working voice work afterwards. Archive footage of Boen from the second film was featured in Terminator: Dark Fate.

In the fall of 2022, Boen was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. He passed away on January 5th, 2023 in Hawaii at the age of eight-one. He was survived by his wife Cathy, daughter, and two grandchildren.[1]
