Dormammu is an extra-dimensional mystic entity and an enemy of Doctor Strange.

Biography[]

Dormammu used the minds of children to create a portal to the Earth dimension. He corrupted Mordo and recruited him to his cause.

Doctor Strange, after finding from Wong that Dormammu was a being of pure magic, absorbed him with the Eye of Agamotto, destroying him.

The design of the character was radically altered. The look in the comics can be seen in Dormammu on Spider-Man. This version was designed to be more demonic, looking like the Balrog in the The Lord of the Rings films.

The design of Dormammu was previously used for Dormammu in the deleted opening of The Invincible Iron Man.
