Richard Wagstaff Clark (born November 30, 1929; died April 18, 2012), known professionally as Dick Clark, was a television and radio personality and businessman. As an actor he played himself on the Fantastic Four series premiere "The Origin of the Fantastic Four, Part One" and "Part Two".
Biography[]
He is well known for hosting American Bandstand and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.
Other notable works include Because They're Young, The Young Doctors, Lassie, Perry Mason, Batman, Killers Three, The Odd Couple, Police Squad!, Friends, Mad About You, Murphy Brown, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, The Drew Carey Show, Futurama, The Simpsons, The X-Files, The Angry Beavers, Spy Kids, Just Shoot Me!, and Baby Bob.
In late 2004, he suffered a stroke though he still appeared on television. On the morning of April 18, 2012 he had a heart attack and died at the age of eighty-two.
