David Bryan Hayter (born February 6, 1969) is an actor who played Captain America, Brace Huntington, and additional voices on Spider-Man.


As a screenwriter, Hayter worked on the X-Men film and its sequel X2: X-Men United. He also appeared in the first film as a museum cop. He also wrote a script for Black Widow though it was not produced. He named his daughter Natasha after the character as she was born while writing the script. He also helped write the Watchmen film.

He is most famous for playing Snake in the Metal Gear video game franchise and the character's appearances in the Super Smash Bros. series. He also provides the voice for King Shark in the Arrowverse series The Flash and Supergirl.

Other notable works include Lupin the 3rd: Castle of Cagliostro, Gundam 0080: A War in the Pocket, Major Dad, Street Fighter II: V, Drive, Giant Robo: The Animation, Burn, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Marvel Heroes, Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty!, Devil's Mile, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Farlands, The Curse of Buckout Road, Traces, Hot Street, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, and Steamdolls: Order of Chaos.
