Cynthia Von Doom fought against the cruel monarch of Latveria. However, she was eventually captured by the king's soldiers and killed.

Cynthia was a gypsy and her people were constantly persecute by the monarch of Latveria. Cynthia sold her soul to Mephisto in exchange for power to defeat the Latverian king. Cynthia used her new power to kill the king's guards. However, unknown to Cynthia, Mephisto made it to where every time she used her powers a child in their village would die. Horrified over what she had done, Cynthia renounced her power, and was stabbed by a dying guardsman. Upon Cynthia's death, her soul was trapped in Mephisto's realm, to be tortured for all eternity.
