William Cross, also known as Crossfire, is a crime boss.
Biography[]
Cross hired people with special skills to commit crimes. He employed superpowered thugs like Cockroach Hamilton, Mangler, Scythe, Gideon Mace, Big Ben, Senor Muerte, Spear, and Piranha Jones.
When brilliant electrical engineer Scott Lang needed money, Cross had him break into safes and vaults. They stole lots of money, but Scott took much of it.
Scott got caught and was eventually released from jail. However, instead of going back to work for him he became a janitor at Grayburn College. Cross thought that Scott was keeping the money hidden, so he kidnapped Cassie Lang and demanded Scott get his money back.
Scott arrived with the money, and wearing the costume of Ant-Man. Cross thought that Scott was the Avenger and decided to use the powers to commit more robberies. At that time Hank Pym, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist arrived and fought Cross's thugs. He began shooting at Hank but was threatened by Scott, who used ants to cover his body. He was then knocked out by Scott.
