Taneleer Tivan, also known as the Collector, took over Thanos criminal empire after The Mad Titan went straight and became the most feared kingpin in the intergalactic underworld.
Biography[]
Taking Power from Thanos[]

The Collector took advantage of the power vacuum in the galactic criminal underworld after Thanos reformed and joined the Ravagers. Collector took Thanos' place and over time became known as the most feared crime lord in the galaxy. With this new position of power Tivan was able to grow his collection. He was able to obtain the Eye of Agamotto, Hela's helmet, Korg's arm, Loki's blades, Malekith's Dark Matter Dagger, Mjolnir, and Captain America's shield.
When Nebula amassed debt with the Collector, Collector told Nebula that he would forgive her debt if she delivered Star-Lord to him.
Deal With The Ravagers[]
Later, Nebula went to the Ravagers and told them that the Collector had the Embers of Genesis which could be used to heal a dying planet's ecosystem. T'Challa and Ravagers came up with a plan to steal the Embers of Genesis. Upon arriving at the Collector's museum on Knowhere, Nebula and Yondu posed as sellers looking to sell the Orb to the Collector.
Nebula and Yondu were able to sneak Star-Lord into the Collector's museum inside of a crate. While Yondu and Nebula met with the Collector, Star-Lord looked around for the Embers of Genesis. However, Nebula captured Yondu and Star-Lord revealing to them that she had a debt to settle with the Collector and they were the payment.
Star-Lord was then taken to the Collector who ordered that he be dissected and his body stripped for parts. While this was going on Nebula broke the Ravagers out of their cell and revealed that she never really betrayed them and that this was all part of her and T'Challa's plan to steal the Embers of Genesis from the Collector.
Fight With T'Challa[]
After Nebula got the Embers of Genesis they tried to escape the Collector's museum. However, T'Challa was confronted by the Collector who attacked him with a stone arm that he had cut off of a Kronan. Collector brought down a mobile armory and grabbed a Dark Matter Dagger. However, the Collector quickly switched to using Hela's helmet which allowed him to create Necroswords. While flinging Necroswords at Star-Lord, Collector remarked that Hela had good taste.
With the helmet, Collector gained the upper hand. However, Yondu arrived and destroyed Hela's helmet with his Yaka Arrow. Yondu was able to distract Collector and get his controller to the glass exhibits and used it to open one of them up. Star-Lord then kicked Collector into the exhibit and closed the door trapping him inside. Yondu gave the controller to Carina, Collector's slave girl, and she used it to open the doors to all the exhibits that contained living beings. All of these creatures were angry at Collector for kidnapping them and locking them up and slowly approached the Collector. It is unknown what happened to the Collector after this.
