Christopher S. Claremont (born November 25, 1950) is a writer who is credited writing characters for X-Men, X-Men: Evolution, and Ultimate Spider-Man. His work on the Big Hero 6 comics inspired the story of the film Big Hero 6 where they gave him special thanks.
Biography[]
He is known largely for his work on the X-Men franchise. He wrote several stories that have been adapted numerous times including The Dark Phoenix Saga and Days of Future Past. He created several characters including Rogue, Psylocke, Shadowcat, Phoenix, Mystique, Emma Frost, Lady Mastermind, Siryn, Jubilee, Rachel Summers, Madelyne Pryor, Sabretooth, Strong Guy, Mister Sinister, Captain Britain, and Gambit. He helped transform Wolverine into one of the most popular characters in the industry.
Along with Jim Lee, he created X-Men #1, which remains the best selling comic book of all time according to the Guinness World Records.
