Charles Xavier is a mutant and the leader of the X-Men.

At some point, Xavier founded the X-Men.
He was lovers with Yui Sasaki and they had a son named Takeo Sasaki.
Eventually, Jean Grey transformed into Phoenix and ended up dying. Most of the X-Men went their separate ways.
When problems involving mutants living in Japan started, the X-Men reformed to help. They met a young girl named Armor and Emma Frost. The two joined as they investigated.
They eventually found that the Inner Circle Club was after Takeo, who like Jean was an Omega-level mutant. However, Takeo's was too powerful. Xavier went to Japan and managed to talk Takeo into not destroying the world. However, Takeo died in the process.
