Cedric Smith (born September 21, 1943) is an actor who played Professor X, Zebediah Killgrave, and Red Skull on X-Men and Spider-Man as well as Mentor on Silver Surfer. He is the first to play Killgrave and Mentor outside the comics.
He married his X-Men co-star Catherine Disher, despite a seventeen year age difference, in 1993. They had a son named Darcy Montgomery Smith, though they later divorced. He later had another child named Maddie Nell.

He reprised the role of Professor X for the video games X-Men and X-Men 2: Clone Wars.
