Captain America, the codename of Steve Rogers, was the leader of the Avengers before his death at the hands of Ultron.
Biography[]
Captain America led the Avengers against many battles. During their downtime Steve formed a relationship with fellow Avenger Black Widow. They had a son that they named James, like after his former sidekick James "Bucky" Barnes. However, Ultron returned and attacked the Avengers. Iron Man's armor was damaged. Knowing that they would be defeated, Cap asked Tony to take the children of the Avengers to a hidden spot. He was then the first to die at Ultron's hands.
In his memory, Tony built Iron Captain America and the Iron Avengers to defeat Ultron. Steve's son James grew up and led the new version of the Avengers. Together they and the Hulk defeated Ultron.

Thanks to the super soldier serum Captain America has enhanced strength, endurance, agility, speed, reflexes, durability, and healing. Together this makes his an extremely capable fighter and powerful opponent.
His most iconic feature his his shield. The shield is a large disc that is indestructible. It can be used to both shield Captain America from attacks and be thrown as an offensive weapon. The shield was taken by Ultron and put into the Trophy Room. After Iron Captain America's shield was destroyed Ultron gave the real shield to him. James eventually took back the shield and used it to destroy Iron Cap and Iron Black Widow.

Captain America's relationship with Black Widow is based off the version seen in Ultimate Avengers and Ultimate Avengers II where they dated.
