Bruce Banner is a scientist that turns into the Hulk when he gets angry.
Biography[]
Return to Earth[]
Following an attack by Thanos in outer space, Heimdall opened the Bifrost which transported Bruce Banner back to Earth instantly. Bruce crash landed in the Sanctum Sanctorum. Bruce put on some clothing he found in the Sanctum and walked outside to see the streets of New York City deserted.
Battle at Greenwich Village[]
As Bruce began to wonder if he was too late to warn the Avengers about Thanos's impending attack, the Black Order teleported to Greenwich Village. As Cull Obsidian approached Banner, he attempted to turn into the Hulk to defend himself. However, following Hulk's defeat at the hands of Thanos, Hulk refused to come out.
Just then, three portals opened up and Iron Man, Doctor Strange, and Wong emerged through them and attacked the Black Order. However, to Bruce's surprise, Tony was now a zombie, along with Doctor Strange and Wong, and they had turned the Black Order into zombies as well.
As the zombified Tony Stark was about to blast Bruce with a repulsor beam, he was saved when the Cloak of Levitation flew up and grabbed Tony's arm causing him to misfire. The Cloak also held back Wong as he attempted to eat Bruce. As the zombies approached Bruce, they were swarmed by several ants that devoured them. It was then revealed that the ants were being controlled by the Wasp. Seconds later, Spider-Man web slinged by, grabbed Banner, and got him to safety.
Battle at Grand Central Station[]
Shortly afterward Spider-Man took Bruce to a base with other survivors which included Okoye, Sharon Carter, James Barnes, Happy Hogan, and Kurt Goreshter. Okoye told Bruce and the others that another survivor camp claimed to have found a cure for the virus. Sharon deduced that the code was coming from Camp Lehigh in New Jersey.
To get to Camp Lehigh, Bruce and the others went to Grand Central Station. After the survivors fought off several zombies, Wasp used her Stingers to power up the train and they used it to escape. As Bruce entered the train car, he noticed that Hope had a cut on her arm which meant that she was infected. As Bruce examined Hope, he realized that she was close to turning into a zombie. As they arrived at Camp Lehigh, they noticed that the base was surrounded by zombies. Hope's final heroic act before turning into a zombie was to grow giant sized, grab Bruce and the other survivors in her hands, and walk them past the zombie horde to safety behind the fence surrounding Camp Lehigh.
Battle at Camp Lehigh[]
Shortly after getting inside the fenced off area at Camp Lehigh, the survivors were greeted by Vision, who informed Bruce that the reason the zombies weren't able to get inside the base was because they did not like the energy signature that was emitted from the Mind Stone on his forehead. Vision continued to say that since the quantum virus affected the brain that he had been experimenting with the Mind Stone as a possible cure. Vision then introduced Bruce and the others to Scott Lang, whom he had successfully stop the spread of the virus. However, the Mind Stone was unable to save Scott's body, which left him as a head that Vision placed in a glass container filled with liquid to keep him alive. Vision also explained that he did not have the necessary equipment to transmit the Mind Stone signal worldwide. Okoye said that Wakanda did have the equipment needed and Bucky began to search the base for a plane.
As Bruce examined the computers inside the base, he realized that they were not the first people to respond to Vision's signal and come to Camp Lehigh. Vision said that he was sorry and that he wished he hadn't found the signal. Just then, Bucky walked into the room with T'Challa who was missing a leg. As Bucky held a gun at Vision, he told the others that Vision had been luring people to Camp Lehigh to use them as food for Wanda Maximoff who had been turned into a zombie.
A short time later, Wanda was able to escape from the cell that Vision had been keeping her in and attacked everyone. Everyone, except for Okoye, managed to get outside. Vision flew into the air and shot a laser from the Mind Stone at the building's foundation, which caused the building to collapse on Wanda. However, this was not enough to stop her. Not wanting to live without Wanda, Vision ripped the Mind Stone from his head and killed himself. With Vision no longer in control of the Mind Stone, there was no energy signature output to stop the zombies from entering the base. Bruce then picked up the Mind Stone and Wanda flew into the air.
While Bruce and the others ran toward the hangar, Bucky stayed behind to keep Wanda distracted. However, Wanda used her telekinesis to throw Bucky into the air. Wanda quickly flew toward Bruce and bit him in the arm. However, Hulk had transformed Bruce's arm making it tougher, so Wanda was not able to break Bruce's skin and infect him. As Peter, T'Challa, and Scott entered the plane, Bruce handed them the Mind Stone and said that he would stay behind to buy them time to escape.
Hulk was still not wanting to come out. So, Bruce ran into a horse of zombies to try and force Hulk to come out to defend himself. This worked and Bruce transformed into the Hulk and smashed his way through several zombies. Hulk was then confronted by Wanda. As Hulk and Wanda fought, Peter, Scott, and T'Challa flew away in a Quadjet. It is unknown if Hulk survived the battle with Wanda.
