- Brotherhood of Mutants is from the Yost Universe series Wolverine and the X-Men.
The Brotherhood of Mutants is a group of mutants dedicated to protecting their kind through any means necessary, compared to the more pacifist X-Men. They were secretly orchestrated by Magneto.
Members[]
Magneto had orchestrated the actions of the group by giving orders to his son Quicksilver, but was not officially part of the group.
Former Member[]
- Rogue: Joined after the X-Men disbanded. Left the Brotherhood when she disagreed with their methods and rejoined X-Men.
History[]
The Brotherhood was formed by Magneto, who set up his son Quicksilver as leader. While Pietro claimed to want to protect mutant interests, he was actually helping his father.
The team found Rogue and got her to join. They attacked Warren Worthington II in an effort to make the X-Men seem like the bad guys.
Quicksilver got Toad out of a Mutant Response Division prison and he told the leader about Nitro. They freed him and tried to take him to Genosha for Magneto. They enlisted the help of Psylocke to help control Nitro, but they were stopped by the X-Men.
When they were defeated by the X-Men again, Magneto cut his ties to the group. Pietro's sister then informs the MRD of their hideout. They then help the X-Men defeat Master Mold.
When their actions became too extreme, Rogue left and rejoined the X-Men.
Background[]
This is the first time Rogue joined the Brotherhood after joining the X-Men. In most other stories, she joined the Brotherhood and X-Men.
Quicksilver leading the team comes from the Ultimate universe, where Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch reformed the team to be less genocidal and promote mutant rights. He has not otherwise lead the team.
Other characters who have joined the Brotherhood include Scarlet Witch, Mystique, Pyro, Charles Xavier, Sabretooth, Juggernaut, Wolfsbane, Lady Deathstrike, Spiral, Shadow King, Omega Red, Boom Boom, Punisher, Multiple Man, Wolverine, and Cyclops.
