Brent Jay Spiner (born February 2, 1949) is an American actor who played Purple Man on The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Silver Surfer on Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H..


He is most famous for his work in the Star Trek franchise as the android Data and various members of his family including Lore, Dr. Noonien Soong, B-4, and Dr. Arik Soong. He was a regular on The Next Generation and appeared in the films Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, and Nemesis while also making a small appearance on Enterprise. He has reprised the roles in several video games.
