Bolivar Trask is a robotics expert who created the Sentinels.
Biography
At some point Trask joined then left S.H.I.E.L.D..
He felt that mutants would one day take over the planet as the dominant species and created the Sentinels. He had the X-Man Wolverine to test one out. However, the other X-Men arrived and destroyed his Sentinel prototype. He was then arrested and sent to prison.
Later, the ancient mutant Apocalypse began taking over the world. S.H.I.E.L.D. released Trask so he could continue the Sentinel project to use against Apocalypse under director Nick Fury's supervision.
