Blackwell is a magician.
Biography[]
Blackwell was considered the greatest magician of all time. When it was decided that the Castle Theatre would be torn down Blackwell partnered with Emily Thorndike and James Boothe to save it. Blackwell used his magic to make it appear that the Castle Theatre was haunted which scared away the demolition men. When Spider-Man went to investigate the haunting he was captured and discovered that Blackwell was behind everything. Spider-Man was captured and watched Blackwell preform his magic on stage. However, Spider-Man was able to break free from his restraints. When he took away Emily and James weapons he discovered that they were only props. Blackwell explained that they only pretended to capture Spider-Man so they could show him what great actors James and Emily were and what a great magician he was. Blackwell then asked Spider-Man to help them save the Castle Theatre. With Spider-Man's help the Castle Theatre was saved.
After Green Goblin escaped prison he started breaking in Blackwell's home and learning his magic tricks which he would use in his robberies. Spider-Man fought Green Goblin at Blackwell's mansion. When Blackwell returned home he was able to distract Green Goblin long enough for Spider-Man to capture him.

Blackwell was voiced by Gillie Fenwick in "Magic Malice" and by Chris Wiggins in "Farewell Performance".
