Biography[]
After Anton Vanko defected to the United States, Premier Paldu sent Black Widow to the U.S. to assassinate Vanko, Tony Stark, and Iron Man. Black Widow tried to seduce and capture Tony Stark but failed. Black Widow knew that her superiors would kill her because her mission was a failure so she went into hiding.
Black Widow later returned and manipulated Hawkeye into fighting Iron Man. However, while fighting Iron Man, Hawkeye accidentally shot Black Widow with one of his arrows. However, Black Widow survived.

Despite her attempts to stay hidden, Black Widow was later found by Soviet agents. Black Widow was returned to Russia. However, Black Widow promised to kill Iron Man if the Soviet government spared her life. Black Widow returned to America and donned a costume. Black Widow talked Hawkeye into helping her fight Iron Man by convincing him that Iron Man was a double agent working for Russia. Black Widow and Hawkeye lured Iron Man into a trap. However, Iron Man was able to defeat them.
