The man known only as Beetle is a criminal who uses a technological suit.
Biography[]
Little is known about the history of Beetle. At some point he acquired technology stolen from Stark Enterprises. During the Armor Wars, Iron Man found Beetle and disabled his stolen technology.
Background[]
Beetle was voiced by John Reilly. He was given a thick Liverpudlian accent as a reference to the popular band The Beatles. Iron Man references this fact when he says Beetle is "in for a hard day's night."

Concept art for Beetle was created by Greg Johnson for the character to appear on Spider-Man. A script for the character to appear in the show was planned but not used as the character was not approved for the show.[1]
In the Comics[]
There are many people who go by the name Beetle. Though at the time of Iron Man there were only two and the only man was Abner Jenkins.
Abner joined the Frightful Four, Sinister Six, and Masters of Evil.
He first faced off against Human Torch.
He is often a foe to Spider-Man. Coincidentally, this is the only animated version of the character not to fight Spider-Man.
He was just one of many hired by Doctor Doom to disrupt the wedding of Reed Richards and Sue Storm.
He fought the Avengers when brainwashed.
