The Avengers are a group of superheroes that defend the Earth. However, the Avengers fell in battle during the zombie apocalypse.

History

When America was infected by the quantum virus, the Avengers, consisting of Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Black Panther, responded to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco to stop a horde of zombies.

Before they could act, Captain America was bitten by an infected Hank Pym. The other Avengers quickly fell. Black Panther was the only one that survived the attack because he was protected by his vibranium suit. A short while later Black Panther was recovered by Vision and took him to Camp Lehigh to use as food for Wanda Maximoff who had been turned into a zombie.

The only remaining Avengers were Thor, who was stranded in space, and Bruce Banner. When Bruce returned to Earth, he learned of the Avengers fate and that the quantum virus had infected most of the planet.
