Asgard is a realm inhabited by powerful creatures claiming to be Gods. They are ruled by Odin and include his son Thor. Thor wields the hammer Mjolnir. Thor went to Earth against Odin's wishes. Thor became a member of the Avengers and fought the Chitauri. Odin ordered Thor to return to Asgard but Thor refused.
