Artificial Intelligence, or AI for short, is an artificially generated intelligence displayed by machines. While some robots, such as Sentinels and Spider-Slayers, appear advanced, they are simply following complex programming. AI is when a machine or construct is able to decide for itself.
Known AI[]
- H.O.M.E.R., the artificial intelligence designed by Iron Man for Force Works.
- Human Torch (Android), an android that was eventually destroyed and left as just a mechanical skeleton.
- Master Mold, created by Bolivar Trask and Henry Peter Gyrich to build and design Sentinels. It was destroyed by the X-Men.
- Ultron, an artificial intelligence created by Ant-Man that eventually turned against him.
- Vision, an android created by Ultron to destroy the Avengers and eventually joined them.
- X-51, a Machine Man that gained sentience.

The film The Terminator was about an evil artificial intelligence that sends a soldier back in time to defeat its enemy.
