The series was made by a French animation company. The series qualified for tax breaks by the French national film commission.

Keaton's favorite superhero is Spider-Man, he voiced the character on The Spectacular Spider-Man, and knew little of Ant-Man. He had to do lots of research before playing the character. While he did like the snarkiness of Paul Rudd, who played the character on the film, he sought his own interpretation of the character. He did find some crossover with Spider-Man in their styles of humor.
