Ander was captain of the Einherjar. He was tasked with training Thor though he was told he could not win when there was and audience. He wore a winged helmet and red cape. He joined Algrim in search of Thor when the boy founded the Elderstahl. They went to Svartalfheim where Algrim took the sword and killed Ander and the rest of the Einherjar warriors.

When Thor grew up and led the Einherjar, he wore Ander's helmet and cape in his honor.
