Biography[]
When Gormagga Kraal forced Dr. Sha-han to build a weapon called the Energizer that could drain the energy of a sun into his starship, Altarra helped him. When Gormagga Kraal intended to use the Energizer on Earth's sun, Altarra and Sha-han protested because they knew all life on Earth would be destroyed. However, Gormagga Kraal didn't listen to them. Knowing that Gormagga Kraal had to be stopped Sha-han stole a weapon called the Circlet of Power from him and escaped in a small spaceship. Altarra was able to distract Gormagga Kraal long enough for Sha-han to get to safety. When Sha-han crashed on Earth, he gave the Circlet of Power to Ben Tucker and it turned him into Solarman.
Later, Gormagga Kraal had his androids kidnap Ben Tucker and bring him to his starship. Gormagga Kraal wanted the Circlet of Power for himself. However, Ben was rescued by Altarra. While escaping from Gormagga's androids, Altarra was shot by a laser and her body was vaporized.

Altarra is an original character that was created for Solarman.
In the comic book adaptation of Solarman, Altarra says that Sha-han was her father. However, no family connection between them is stated in the episode.
