The Acolytes is a defunct group of mutants who closely followed Magneto.

History[]
The group came together to serve under Magneto when he made the mutant sanctuary of Asteroid M. However, Cortez wanted more power and seemingly killed Magneto and blamed it on the X-Men. He was discovered when Magneto returned. Asteroid M was destroyed and the group disbanded.
