Absorbing Man is a supervillain that can transform his body into any substance he touches.
Biography[]
Carl Creel was a criminal. Shortly after Carl escaped prison, Loki gave him the power to transform his body into any substance he touched. Carl, now calling himself Absorbing Man, made his way to New York City where he fought Thor. However, Thor learned that Absorbing Man could by weakened by damaging his hands. When Absorbing Man started to lose Loki teleported him to his laboratory on Asgard and removed the weakness in his hands.
When Absorbing Man returned to Earth, he went after the police officers that were tracking him after he escaped prison. However, Thor arrived and began to fight Absorbing Man. As Absorbing Man touched the ground he absorbed and turned into all elements at once. However, this was Thor's plan. Thor released a massive lightning bolt form Mjolnir which turned all the elements Absorbing Man was made out of into helium. In this gas form, Absorbing Man floated into space where he could do no harm.

Absorbing Man was featured in the Marvel Mash-Up shorts that aired on Disney XD.
